I never thought I would say this, but I love my new refrigerator. I™™ve had it for six months and it has more than enough space in both the refrigerator and freezer. It™™s also very quiet compared to my older GE refrigerator. My only complaint is that the produce drawers are a bit small and they are more flimsy than I wish. This is my first refrigerator with a freezer on the bottom and I never realized how convenient it could be.

I replaced my old broken Amana fridge with the same model new fridge because I liked the arrangement of shelves and drawers. I was disappointed that both top shelves don't allow for installing a drawer underneath (only one of them.) Also, the middles shelf on the left side no longer slides out; and as someone who rarely uses ice & therefore didn't want a ice maker, I was disappointed that a spot for an ice cube try no longer existed. My biggest disappoint, though, was that you no longer offered a cream/biscuit colored fridge that would match my stove. I am not crazy about the stainless steel but I didn't have a choice.

The inside shelving & drawers are not glass, which is disappointing, but it's so much quieter than the old model. I upgraded from white to stainless steel. Mostly satisfied w/ product, however Whirlpool's handling of the product / shipping is something to be desired. My fridge arrived with a dent / scratch that was covered with a piece of tape that I did not see. Tried today to get a hold of Whirlpool and suddenly no one answered. The delivery group was rushing and v rough with the product and did not allow me the chance to inspect it as they 'had 5 more orders' to deliver. Should have purchased fr Costco.

Not bad but when you're paying over a thousand dollars that makes it big. They sent a replacement but not the right one. They sent a crisper instead.. I sent and email and called with no response. Temperature controls and lights inside the refrigerator and freezer compartments are excellent. Access to the refrigerator compartment is great since bending is not required. Door shelving design is average since use of all shelves interferes with storage. After reversing the swinging door, there was no cover for the holes atop the refrigerator.

This was our second exactly-the-same product. Or so we hoped. As far as I can tell after about 5 weeks use, the only flaw is that the door has a mind of its own. It doesn't close easily, requires a good shove, and the door tends to drift all the way open when that is not the desired outcome.

I have been searching for a bottom freezer refrigerator that would fit in the small space I have. Unfortunately the gasket around the freezer was no good so I had to contact customer service which hooked us up with a repair company. It took 6-8 weeks for the guy to come see what was wrong & the replacement part to come in but now we are OK. I purchased the refrigerator online & was pleased with most everything. I wish it was fingerprint resistant SS. The freezer was smaller than I thought it would be even without an ice maker. The upper part if perfect with split shelves, nice size fruit & veggie drawers and space on the door. I think it's quite when running. If you need a refrigerator for a smaller space, I would recommend this one!!!

I was looking for a bottom-freezer refrigerator to fit in a tight spot. I bought this sight-unseen, various delivery delays & issues with Lowes, but, it does fit, and it works, so that's good. What I don't like: Most annoyingly, the bottom drawers (with humidity control adjustments) slide very poorly. They stick, they bind, they don't close tightly without fussing (which makes the humidity adjustments worthless.) For the cost, shouldn't the drawers slide? (These were factory installed, so it's not user error.) I also dislike the design of the bottom freezer compartment. The way the freezer baskets are set up have several drawbacks: there's no flat, stable place to put ice trays (I didn't want an ice maker), and there is no place tall enough to set some taller things that need to stay upright while freezing. Both of these bottom freezer design flaws were not issues for me in two prior freezers in other homes: one was a similar bottom freezer GE and one was a french door model with a bottom freezer. My advice: don't buy it without seeing it, trying the drawers, looking at how the freezer is set up.

My only issue is the bottom drawers that store items like fruits and vegetables do not slide in and out easily. They get a bit STUCK when I try to push the drawer back in it's place. I bought this over 10 years ago. It has been an amazing fridge. What I love about it is the lower freezer all the hardware is metal including the wire basket in freezer is metal is white coating. I always felt I bought too large of a fridge so I considered getting a new one. I went to Home depot and lowes and browsed and found that they were not made as sturdy as they were . This concerned me that there was a lot of plastic in the freezer and worried how that would hold up in a household with many boys. It appeared to me that the newer models of most fridges were not made with the same materials. It is sad that things today are just not made as well as in the past. SO i kept mine that has never disappointed

Space was very limited so we needed to go with the 29 inch wide size, smaller than the side by side we had before. We find it very handy with movable shelves and 3 drawers, 1 for meat and cheese and 2 for vegetables - perfect! I have had this fridge about six weeks and am so happy with it. I love the glass shelves and clear drawer bins. The interior seems so bright as a result. I can see everything in the fridge! I like the pull out freezer drawer. Nothing can fall out as I am looking for things. There is no ice cube making or storage which is perfect for me so more room for frozen foods.

I purchased this refrigerator about 2.5 years ago and have had nothing but problems with the freezer frost build up covering the coils not allowing the cold air to cool the fridge part and as a result we have to take everything out of the fridge, defrost and repeat the cycle every 3 weeks. This is absolutely pathetic for a fairly new fridge considering fridges last for many years. If i could give zero stars i would..DO NOT PURCHASE AN AMANA REFRIGERATOR

I have had my Amana for about a month after replacing a 16 year old Whirlpool located in a tight space. The Amana directs cold air uniformly throughout both compartments. I have placed standup metal coil thermometers in each compartment to see status at a glance. Spaces are well lighted and designed with flexible partitions. I expect to get years of trouble free use from this " Made in America" unit.

Love the refrigerator on top, we can easy see what is in. The bad thing is when we close it we can not open it right away if we forgot something. There is a strong suction.

It works, but...

I bought this refrigerator after our old one was beyond repair. It works it terms of keeping things cold but has one serious drawback. Once retrieved something from the refrigerator, once you close the door a vacuum is created so strong it is impossible to open immediately afterwards. You must wait 20 to 30 seconds to open it again. Not a problem if you make sure you get everything you need the first time or you know you need to wait for the pressure finally equalizes. Cause if you don™™t, you will pull the door handle loose trying. So although I™™m happy the fridge seals well and keeps the food cold, I™™m not that patient.

Purchased for my by a daughter as I had difficulty with former refrigerator (freezer on top and lower part refrigerator difficult to obtain items in lower levels due to age and agility.
