The cooktop knobs are too close to the burners.

I burnt my hand on the knob when turning off the burner. A pan on the front burner hangs over the knobs and heats them up. Way too hot to touch. Had to use a medication to ease the pain.

Failed Unit in 20DAYS

Recently purchased a kitchen package: Dishwasher, Cooktop, Vent Hood, Refrigerator, Double Oven, Microwave, and Trim Kit. Review rating is for item in particular, but comments are for entire package. Day of dishwasher install it leaked from the corner™€¦this was day one. Cleaned fine but had to keep a small bowl under the left corner due to the leak. Had to go through a service call process with the repair company for about a month. They had were sent out 3 times and replaced what they could. Jenn Air finally agreed to replace the unit. New unit was delivered without the sound blanket. No longer leaked but sounded like a freight train. Sent same service company out, had to order a part, and part was installed. Unit is quieter but still louder than the first one. Not sure what is going on. I™€™ve had Bosch dishwashers for years and they are barely noticeable. This unit advertised as lower on the DB scale, but it™€™s not. Cooktop delivered and installed. After first cook, some boiled water, the burner caps ™€œspotted™€ and won™€™t clean up. Jenn Air ended up sending some replacement caps. Stainless steel scratches very easily. Simple cleaning with terry cloth wipes seems to make impressions. Very disappointed. Frig, vent hood, and micro working well thus far. Jenn Air customer service, although taking sometime to answer calls in the queue, is very efficient and responsive.

Stainless Steel hard to clean and looks bad!

We have only had this cooktop for 1 month and the stainless top just does not clean well and looks bad. Spots do not come off and around the burner it's kind of grimy. I have used the recommended cleaners and still does not look good. I called Jennair and the person that answered was very kind and empathetic to my complaint. She is going to send me a sample of a steel brightener to use. I hope this is the answer! On the "good" side. It does work very well. The burners are sturdy and well made.

Pretty - but could use better design

My All Clad griddle does not fit without hanging over the knobs rendering them white hot and therefore impossible to use. I had no issue on my previous 4 burner stove since knobs were located in the middle

The knobs are far too close to the burners. So close that it is difficult to fully grasp the knobs to adjust the flame without potentially touching a larger pot or pan on the front burners. Also knob metal is so soft that it doesn™€™t take long to have knicks and cuts even when attempting to be very careful.

To start off it's a great looking cooktop BUT that doesn't fit the cut. Not sure if it's the model but the flames are not strong enough and it takes much longer for stuff to cook, boil, etc. as compared to our old DCS countertop. The control knobs/regulators are positioned too close to the flame and end up becoming too HOT. We expected a lot more at this price point.

I bought this cooktop at a dealer and liked the look of this cooktop but failed to bring my most used pans to do a check of spacing. Well I am disappointed and if I had to do this again I would have the knobs on the front of the cooktop as my Kitchenaid was designed. The knobs are too close to the front burners. The skillet is on top of the knob when cooking, making it difficult to use them. Also, the knobs get really hot, so I cannot use the front burners. Knobs are already scratched because the skillet rests on the knob when I cook. They are too close to the front burners.
