Cooktop knob sticks. It stays down and releases gas. It™€™s quite dangerous. Called service tech to fix it. The corners of the cooktop frame are extremely sharp! The burner heads are very difficult to reassemble after cleaning. The steel gauge is too thin. The frame ™€œpops™€ when it gets too hot.

Design Flaws w/ Luxury Prices

I purchased three Jenn Air appliances from Bray & Scarff in March 2025, and two of them have defects. They look beautiful on the outside, but the engineering and especially the quality control are very disappointing. This is the 2nd cooktop in my home because the first one had a bent frame that bowed and did not lay flush with the counter top. One of the knobs sticks. It doesn™€™t glide like the rest when turned on. When you push down on the knob to turn it on, it feels like there is something stuck under it, and it stays down. It doesn™€™t bounce back like the others. Also when it™€™s stuck you hear continuous clicking and smell gas if you are not careful with it. The tech had to loosen the assembly a bit to help it pop back up on its own but it is not fully the same as the other knobs. It still sticks. I don™€™t use it and will need them to look at it again. The cast iron grates are either not completely level or do not have the correct pattern in the grate for maximum stability. Ex. If the pot is not centered ™€œjust so™€ it will rock back and forth as you stir. When you disassemble the burner covers for cleaning, the burner assembly is very difficult to put back. The notches are barely there; it won™€™t fit back in to place easily without a lot of ™€œjust so™€ maneuvering. If the burners are not aligned you will know something is off b/c the flames become very big and they shoot out high in a distorted pattern. It is quite dangerous if you™€™re not paying attention. Once you adjust the burner and it falls into place the flames will too. Lastly, the edges of the stainless steel frame are sharp! They are beveled like a knife! I called for service about the knob, sharp bevel and burner situation. The tech was nice. Tried to fix the concern but basically said it was a design problem. How can Jenn Air quality control approve sharp knife-like bevels on a cooktop? And design such substandard appliances while paying luxury prices? The customer is paying for the ™€œillusion of higher quality™€ but you™€™re not getting it. Don™€™t get me started on the double oven. The control panel stopped working within 1 month of use. While it was preheating, I noticed the lights dimmed on the panel in a strange way. It wouldn™€™t shut off when I tried to turn the oven off! We had to switch off the breaker at the panel box. Thankfully after months of back and forth with UNHELPFUL Bray and Scarff in Germantown, MD - Jenn Air agreed to buy back the oven. Cooktop™€¦meh.

This company sucks

We bought this propane gas cooktop as part of a new home build and from the beginning, the product did not work effectively. Specifically, it would only actually light when it felt like it (very intermittent lighting). Often when it did light, there was a constant clicking noise. We notified the company immediately and it took several months for anyone to even come out to service the product and when they did, they did not resolve the issue. A service technician came out to our house no less than 8 times over more than a year and ordered/re-ordered every single part of the cooktop. Each new "fix" or part was ineffective. At the end of the day, the main issue ended up being a faulty installation (by Jenn Aire/their affiliates...NOT the builder). Due to the of a lack of customer consideration, competency, and justice, I am giving this company and product a 1 star review (only because there isn't an option for a 0 star review). What we went through was one of the most insanely idiotic things we have ever experienced. At no point in during Jenn Aire's rambling, incoherent response were they even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone involved is now dumber for having experienced it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Great product with burners that quickly provide heat (or slowly provide heat - love that burner too). It's awesome to have 6 burners when guests come for dinner & I adore the little light that reminds me I left a burner on. With the controls all to one side, I'm able to slide heavier pans from one burner to another & also use 2 burners for my large pancake griddle. LOVE IT!!

I've been using this stove top for over a month and am suprised the coating is wearing off to the point you can see silver flakes. We looked long and hard at what appliances to go with when we started our kitchen remodel. We were very impressed to the whole line of appliances available from Jennair. We went with the 30" built in convection microwave speed oven, The 30" single wall oven and the Euro-style 36" 6-burner gas cooktop. We have been using these appliances every day now for better than 6-months and couldn't be any happier with our selection. The burner controls are easy to set for just the right amount of heat to cook what you are making. The power burners make short work of getting a big pot of water ready to take on a box of pasta. They are helpful as well when you want just a little more heat to cook something fast. Simmering a pot of soup on the small burner is a great help when orchestrating a meal using the 5 other burners to cook up a masterpiece. We'd recommend the Jennair Euro-Style 36" 6-Burner Gas Cooktop, as well as the whole line of Jennair appliances, to anyone getting serious about upgrading their kitchen appliances. Jennair is definitely a top-of-the-line choice.

The round berner "tops" are already stained. I have tried everything to get them clean. HELP!! The down draft does not work. You have to hold the button in to make it rise, then hold it in to make it lower. Doesn't lower all the way either. I feel like a made a big expensive mistake with these products.
