Disappointing

This is the 3rd double oven I have owned (Maytag Gemini, GE, and this). I've had it about 6 wks and am so frustrated and disappointed with it. I have been cooking for more than 6 decades and never experienced an oven with such erratic temps as the bottom oven. After roasting a 3.5 lb chicken for 2.5 hrs (standard 15 min @425, then 2.25hr @350) it was still not thoroughly cooked.. i.e.juices not clear, obvious red/uncooked meat when cut into. Dangerous and breeding ground for bacteria, etc. on meats. Tried baking a cookie recipe I've used for many, many years which normally is 12-14 min @325 after 22 min still not cooked. Yes, I tried re-calibrating which did not yield any better results the next time. (Actually the calibration/re-calibration is guesswork ...calibrating up/down from what??). I needed a white stove (after Power Company surge destroyed my former stove) and wanted another double oven since I think they are great, but this one is not! Top oven works better/as it should , but is limited use because of the size. I wish the control board could be replaced/switched out with one that functions like a normal oven and is dependable. Note: these issues are all with the standard oven, not the convection.....not a big fan of convection, don't use it. Another issue: control panel is grey with white symbols which are very hard to see....very little contrast. The stove is nice to look at, but that's not its purpose!

We have a 12 year old model of this range in our current home. I bought this one to replace a GE one, that was in our second home, because of our 8 year experience with our current one. Well the 12 year old models upper oven heats up faster than this new one, by several minutes. Pretty dissapointing. The cook top works about the same on both.

Our family purchased this and had to wait for weeks for delivery because we wanted it in white, and because the weather was bad. Operating the stove top is a bit of a learning curve because the knobs for the top have dual functions to allow you to choose the size of the burner that you wish to use. It has a glass top, which we do like.

So far, so good, though I have only had it for one week. I have used the small oven a few times, and it works as it should. Be sure to put the rack on the bottom bracket for regular baking. I haven't used the convection feature in the larger oven yet, but I'm looking forward to it. The many burners work as they should. One feature I love is the rapid pre-heating of the oven. One feature I don't love is that the oven timer beeps once at the end of the timing period. No other beeps to tell you to hurry up & come get your burning cookies out of the oven.

I have only had this range for a few weeks but am happy with it. It would be nice if an operator manual had been included. I realize there is a website for this but not everyone has access to a computer. There seems to be no problem using ink and paper to print what information is included in 2 languages. Even my old range had printed manuals and did the price of the range was not as much as this one.

On August 31, I went to Best Buy to purchase a white range. I paid them $1,646.83. I feel this was excessive, but they told me it was the only white range available. It was finally delivered on October 20. It was not level and I didn't have someone to return to level it until October 31. There was a rather large round stack as silver flakes in the top oven. I asked the repair man you sent if it was safe to use it. He said he didn't know. I did not get manuel when I bought it. I still have not used Is it safe??????

I have had this for about a month and I love it! I thought that the dual oven would be my favorite part, but the multi sized burners and their placement on the stovetop is terrific. I can put a wok, a Dutch oven and a standard saucepan on all at the same time without bumping. The frozen bake made a frozen pizza perfectly. And I can™€™t believe the difference in the cookies with the convection bake versus standard. I did try both at different temps and each one kept true to its temperature setting. I find it hard to keep the top from having water stains, but I plan to get some Afresh as recommended in the owners manual.

I really like the efficiency of this range. It's beautiful and very well put together. I primarily use the upper space and love it. The only thing I am a bit disappointed by is that the ceramic top scratches very easily. I am so careful but can't avoid the scratches. I use a silicone stove top cover that helps from amazon.

I bought this to replace my double oven stove that I had 20 plus years. This stove is working great and I am very pleased with it. I just am not pleased with the smooth top my other one had a little speckled and it was easier to keep clean. This has to be clean often to keep it shiny. But it bakes and cooks very good

I bought this double oven range a month ago. It was really great at the holidays as multiple dishes were baking at the same time. I mostly use the top oven for every day use. The only con, which I considered, is how low the bottom oven is. The bottom of the oven is at floor level so I have to get on my hands and knees to wipe it out which can be pretty awkward. It's the price of having the convenience of 2 ovens. My next kitchen will definitely have 2 ovens but they'll be wall ovens! The stove top has a lot of different size options and easy to clean.

Ceramic top not durable. Build quality subpar.

(After writing all this and taking photos, I'm unable to attach all the photos to the review. My apologies to the readers) Less than a month in use. I'm freaking out about the top. I've only used my best pans, put all the heavier and cast iron pans in the garage. I place them down gently. I don't slide the pans (although just stirring something will often cause them to move. Ugh!). I even got a top for it so when it's not in use it's super protected. Still a couple spots that at first I thought were stuck on food, but instead are little divets in the glass top. One was there out of the box but I also though it was just a spot I could wipe away. This is only after 3 weeks and treating it like a baby. This is my first new stove in 23 years. My first ceramic glass top. My sister raves about hers (not Whirlpool) and I like the look of the glass top as opposed to the open electric burner elements on my old unit. So I took the plunge. I'm a cook (not professionally). I love cooking. I loved the idea of having 5 burners available for when there's a lot going on. But I am terrified that the top is just going to keep getting scratched and dinged and eventually fail. For $1600 bucks it should be able to withstand gentle use. But here we are, two people, me the only one using it, and I just don't think it's going to last. I would hate to think what it would be like if it was a full house with kids and getting a lot more use. see pic - the whiter spots are ALL dings in the glass cook top. The larger one, at between 12 and 1 o'clock was there when unboxed. Remember, this is three weeks of light use. The bottom oven preheat - it seemed to take a lot longer than expected. It's called Rapid Preheat but, ummm, I didn't quite see it that way. I like the convection feature but so far have only used the bottom oven once. By the way, that bottom oven is way down near the floor! If you've got a bad back or are older, you'll want to think about that. The controls - so many buttons to press to make it start working. You gotta remember to hit that 'Start' button for pretty much everything oven related. Change the oven temp? Hit, for ex. each of 4, 0, and 0 buttons, then the correct start button. If you don't hit 'start' then, yep - it won't start. ;-) After 20ish years with an oven that refused to let oven bulbs live, it's great to finally see inside the top and bottom ovens without using a flashlight. Yep, I kept an 'oven' flashlight right on the counter top for years. The problem with this one is if you turn it on, it stays on. With all of the electric programming and configs available, you'd think they'd default to turn the oven light off after some set amount of time. Unless I'm missing it, even if the oven is off the light will stay on. The indicator lights for 'cooktop on' is on the left under the two burner controls. The 'hot surface' indicator is under the rightmost burner controls. I'm not gonna second guess this decision but it seems they could have move them further away for the controls so a user (particularly new to the oven) doesn't think one light is for left burners, one for right. And maybe different colors for the two to indicate the difference between on and hot. The warming element - when you press 'warm zone on', it prompts you to press 'start. But there is no warming zone start. You have to press the oven start button, either one. Weird. And to make it weirder, you can't press the oven cancel button, you have to press 'warm zone off'. See pic So, definitely a learning curve on this. Also some readjusting how you cook. Cleaning the top has to be done differently. Weirdly, don't use glass cleaner even though it's a glass top. I bought the cleaning set with scraper, cleaner, etc. The build is a bit iffy. The edge seal (sort of like a rubber caulk) around the cook top isn't uniform. Little indents where food and grease will find their way in short order. The right side panel isn't attached to the rear panel evenly, causing it to bow in the middle. See three pics - one shows rear top right (when facing oven from front) and one shows rear top left. The top right shows the misalignment where top left is better aligned). One shows a view looking down a metal yardstick. You can see the bow in the panel because through that gap you can see my flooring. The bottom oven door glass top corner is about 1.5mm shifted clockwise. The white molding near bottom left side that the glass is mounted to or against, is sticking out noticeably. See pics looking face on at yard stick against both the left and right sides showing the offset between top and bottom glass pan for oven doors. I had a floor mount 220v outlet which the new oven wouldn't fit past causing the until to stick out 5 or so inches. . I had to rerun my 220v up through the wall and install a wall outlet so the plug was not in the way of the oven. Luckily I was able to do this myself. Hiring an electrician - I'm sure it would be in the hundreds and you better hope there is slack in your 220v wire run. My last oven, the entire back bottom was recessed. This oven just has a selected area recessed, and it's higher up, does not start at the floor. See pic - cord with string attached. Behind that lower is the recessed area. Notice that there is frame there so your outlet and cord need to come above that frame.

Be ready to hire an electrician

Like all the features however the back is not recessed to allow the range to slide over the electrical box and the large cord. As a result, the range sticks out too far from the counter top. Be prepared to spend another couple hundred bucks if your electrical box is not recessed into your wall. Model: WGE745C0FH

Very disappointing

This product does not do as advertised. It™€™s advertised as having convection conversion. It does not. According to over 15 emails that I™€™ve had with whirlpool and speaking with multiple representatives who do nothing more than read from the same users guide and information I can find on their website. They continue to tell me that this oven will adjust temperature and time based on a conventional recipe. However, that™€™s completely impossible as during the process of using the convention baking, It never asks for a time. So, how can it adjust a time? Also, the cooking timer function plays no role in this.Whirlpool has said through documentation that it has sent me, that you will enter a temperature and the conversion will adjust that temperature and time and and display the converted temperature. However, that is not true. It is very disappointing that their customer service experience representatives do not know, nor can they direct me to someone that actually knows how to use the product. I was eventually sent to their executive office staff, tho very friendly, they had zero knowledge to help me. In fact after multiple conversations with multiple people, I don™€™t really think they™€™re hearing what I™€™m asking or saying. Luckily, Lowe™€™s agrees with the false representation of the product and they™€™re allowing me to swap it for a different brand. Very disappointing.

The ovens don't heat or cook correctly. You can't use the convection option because there is no info on how to do it. I went back to the store where I bought it and they had no idea.
